Nicole Simon

Mrs. Simon
Hi there!
I first thought of becoming a teacher when I was six years old.  I loved playing school with my younger brother and any friends that could handle my bossiness.  I had AMAZING teachers throughout elementary school.  They always took the time to make me feel like I mattered, made learning fun and emphasized my strengths.

I grew up in Melfort, Saskatchewan, but I always had relatives in Medicine Hat so you could say it was always like my second home growing up.  I took my post secondary education at the U of S, Medicine Hat College and U of L.  During my teaching career thus far, I have taught at George Davison, Ross Glen and of course am now at WLC.  I have experience teaching Kindergarten, grade one/two combined, grade one, two and three.

My husband, Cory, is crazy, energetic and kind.  We are incredibly blessed to have two happy, healthy children!  We have a son, Reed and a daughter, Everly.  We enjoy travelling, baking, shopping, spending time outdoors and doing recreational family activities.

Out of all of the grades I have taught, Grade 1 is my absolute favorite!  The pure honestly that the students possess at this age makes me laugh every single day.  I love to share in the enormous growth and learning that happens in Grade 1, particularly with literacy and numeracy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
