Adele Henderson

After graduating from the University of Alberta and then teaching for about eleven years in Edmonton, my husband and I decided to relocate our family back to my hometown of Medicine Hat. We are so thankful for the slower pace of life and increased quality time we get to have with our three young children (Blaire 7, West-5, & Brooke-2).

Upon moving back to the city, I was very excited to get back to teaching, after being on my own final maternity leave. I was even more thrilled to find myself as part of the WLC team! While the majority of my teaching experience has been at the primary level, I was thankfully given the opportunity to complete the last portion of the school year teaching Grade 8 Humanities. Let's just say I have found a new passion in teaching, as I could not have loved the experience more. I believe that building a strong relationship with each student in our building, regardless of their grade level, is a critical piece of the learning puzzle. I also consider education to be a lifelong journey, for both myself and my students. I am looking forward to a fantastic year, as I learn alongside the students of WLC!
