WLC Treasurer

This is my third year serving on school council and my first year as President. I have had a child go through Jr. High at WLC and transition to High School as well as a younger child in grade 3. This has given me insights into the inner workings of junior high and elementary.

When I'm not busy with School Council, I work full-time as an Educational Assistant. I am also a full-time college student studying to become an even better EA and working towards becoming fluent in ASL. My part-time job is shuttling my two busy kiddos to and from their numerous extra curricular activities. I live in unwedded bliss with my partner in crime Ross who works out of town half of the month. In my limited free time I love to shop, travel and camp with my family. The mountains are my ultimate happy place and you can find me there for most of the summer stalking bears (aka hiking).

I'm always highly caffeinated which is probably why you will find I'm a fast talker. Despite that, I'm always more than welcome to let you get a word in edgewise...just interrupt me [editor's note: duct tape is helpful if not necessary]. I'm pretty approachable and I love meeting all the amazing parents in our school. If you need anything don't hesitate to reach out to me on Facebook or email at my address listed here. I'm looking forward to another amazing school year!  #iamalsoaddictedtohashtags #ifyouseeapostwithhashtagsitsme

I'm happy to be serving as School Council Treasurer and am very excited for the upcoming school year. I have two children at WLC, my son is in Grade 5 and my daughter is in Grade 4 (yes, they are intentionally close together and no, I don't remember much of the first 2-3 years of their lives). When I'm not at my full-time job as a paralegal or helping manage the rental units my husband and I own, I spend the vast majority of my time driving my children to various activities and appointments, coordinating social events (for them, not me) and cooking food that no one actually eats because I tend to burn it.

Three things I can't live without are coffee, wine (mostly because I don't have to share either one) and my iPhone which keeps us organized and on long as I remember to tell Siri to remind me of EVERYTHING. When I'm not at work, dealing with tenants, doing school council work or chauffeuring my kids, I occupy my free time cheering for the New England Patriots, online shopping and trying hard not to be the worst golfer at ladies' league (with varying degrees of success).

School Council meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of every month (except January) at 6:30 p.m. All parents/guardians are welcome.

If you have specific concerns that you would like brought up at the meeting, please email Steph at least a week before the meeting so she can add it to the Agenda.

You can also get in touch with us on the Facebook Page - WLC School Council

In addition to the School Council, there is a separate incorporated non-profit society that is responsible for raising funds for the School Council. Think of it like the "fundraising committee". The following people are elected officers and appointed chairpersons of the Dr. Roy Wilson Community Association (WLC CA):

President - Stephanie Williams
Vice President - Brigette Pinter
Secretary - Erin Greggains
Treasurer - Nicole Liboiron
Hot Lunch Chair - Lisa Perich
Casino Chair - Stephanie Williams
Raffle Chair - Nicole Liboiron

Unlike school council meetings that are "town hall style" the board of the WLC CA has full control and management of the association. There is an Annual General Meeting in June when the new board is elected and regular meetings of the members will only be called when input of the membership is requested.
