Parents /Guardians,

The administration and staff at the Wilson Learning Center have been focused on clear and consistent communication with our families and stakeholders to ensure we are working together to support our students and their learning. In an attempt to further build rapport and establish a positive connection with our families, we have made the following changes to the November Reporting period.

Student Conferences

Wednesday, October 23 from 3:30pm-6:30pm

Thursday, October 24  from 5:00pm-7:00pm

Report Cards Go Home

Thursday, November 21

Our goal for the Student Conference evening is to engage our parents in their child’s education and to share where students are at academically, socially and emotionally in their learning and development. Teachers will be taking the opportunity to share with you the work that has been done so far this school year and will engage our families in academic, social, and/or emotional goal setting for your child.

Report Cards will then be sent home on November 21 following the Student Conferences. Our hope is that by engaging parents prior to the reporting period, we are able to communicate student strengths and areas requiring support prior to student assessments going home. This will give teachers, students and families an opportunity to collaboratively support student learning and success.

As in the past, we will be running our Fall Scholastic Book Fair in conjunction with the Student Conferences. This is an excellent opportunity for families to purchase books for students and to support our WLC library!

Thank you for your support and understanding, we look forward to seeing you soon!
